EPDP member shot & killed by LTTE pistol man

An unidentified LTTE pistol man on motorbike shot and killed a member of the Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP) in the general area of SAMANAMKULAM junction, VAVUNIYA Saturday (20) evening around 6.00 p.m.

According to the Police, the victim, NADARAJAH KESAVAWARMA (25) was killed by an LTTE pistol man while he was riding his foot bike near the SAMANAMKULAM junction.This was the forty-nine Tamil political members who fell victim to LTTE killing spree after the Cease-fire Agreement was signed.

The dead body has been taken to the VAVUNIYA Police mortuary on magistrate’s order.The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) was to be informed.The VAVUNIYA Police are conducting investigations.
