Initiate Comprehensive Assessment of Violations of Ceasefire Agreement – Not Piecemeal Assassinations of LTTE

In a letter addressed to the President of Sri Lanka, The Society Peace Unity and Human Rights of Sri Lanka has pointed out that there is irrefutable evidence that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, is sheltering under the ceasefire signed by the former Wickremesinghe Government, is preparing for war.”
In the letter, SPUR has underlined that it wishes to base its case on a number of reports released during the last two days detailing crimes perpetrated by the LTTE rather than restate the 2000 plus ceasefire violations reported by the SLMM.
